TRAVELING Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician - Data Centers, Commercial Warehouses

Braun Intertec is seeking experienced Construction Materials Technicians to join our team.

This is a traveling position working on Data Centers, Commercial Warehouses, and other remote projects.

We are looking for dependable, flexible individuals who enjoy teamwork. This position requires working overtime/weekends and outdoors in varying weather conditions. The candidate should have strong integrity, self-motivation, and be able to perform routine inspections and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to plans, contract documents, and specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform concrete and compaction testing on commercial construction projects
  • Prepare daily reports on testing and activities
  • Accurately report observations and test data
  • Communicate test results with project leads and site superintendents/foremen
  • Work with project engineers and clients to ensure specifications are followed

Required Skills:

  • Valid driver's license and good driving history
  • Ability to travel extensively to remote project sites across the US
  • Willingness to work long hours and weekends
  • Previous materials testing experience preferred
  • Technical expertise in electronic field data collection
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • iPad experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Required Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of construction materials testing experience

Minimum Certifications:

  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I

Preferred Certifications:

  • ACI Concrete Strength I
  • ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
  • ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
  • ICC Pre-stressed Concrete Special Inspector
  • State DOT Certifications
  • NICET Certifications
  • Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety
