Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the YETI Stores Go-to-market process and assortment strategy, ensuring visibility and understanding of all regional plans, in close collaboration with channel leads
  • Manage a complex and fast-growing business that involves active portfolio management, including monitoring and responding to regional omni-channel sales, product and consumer feedback
  • Be the Stores voice for category needs and opportunities at key product milestone meetings
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders across the organization to drive results, including partnering with Brand and Marketing teams to deliver compelling product storytelling
  • Provide input on risk & opportunities in the context of historical product performance & future trend insight to inform monthly forecast submissions
  • Align commercial merchandising strategies with E-Commerce and Wholesale Sales team
  • Partner with Store Merchandising Manager and Wholesale team to review and identify potential risks or opportunities to plan
  • Apply analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations using multiple sources of information
  • Act as the ultimate customer advocate, sharing the Voice of the Customer through deep understanding of consumer needs, buying preferences, and macro trends
  • Monitor and report on the market landscape using competitive analysis and consumer insights to inform product decisions
  • Establish strong relationships with key markets and global Product teams, ensuring all product queries, requirements and feedback are dealt with efficiently
  • Be the Go-to-market champion for seasonal/new product introductions, engaging and organizing the region to help successfully launch new products
  • Deliver a monthly assortment performance update to key stakeholders with a focus on key sell-through metrics, opportunities and challenges
  • Explain assumptions and methodologies strategically through weekly/monthly sell-through and category performance reports
  • Own YETI Stores seasonal hind-sighting process to ensure learnings are factored into future buy strategy at channel/market level

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 8+ years of product management/merchandise buying experience
  • Premium brands and consumer goods experience is strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of the wholesale and retail landscapes across North America within outdoor/sports and fashion/lifestyle segments
  • Innovative thinker who synthesizes consumer insights, macro trends and competitive analysis to make informed product decisions
  • Ability to work at scale within a global, high-growth environment
  • Experience with long-range planning, managing complex categories within an omni-channel environment
  • Self-starter who works well in a fast-paced and high-performance environment
  • Excellent agility and problem-solving skills demonstrating the ability to work within the grey
  • Effectively build relationships cross-functionally to meet business goals and objectives
