Sales Representative - Immediate Start

Vector Marketing is now conducting interviews for part-time sales representatives. Our focus is on customer service, and our sales reps connect with customers through informal, one-on-one appointments to sell Cutco products. We offer a guaranteed minimum base pay to ensure that our reps are not pressured to make sales. Instead, we encourage them to concentrate on providing exceptional service to our customers, confident that the quality of the product will speak for itself. Apply today to secure an interview within the week!

What We Offer:

  • Commission-based pay: Reps have the opportunity to earn commissions based on their performance. Even in slower weeks, reps still receive pay, ensuring consistent earnings. Weekly pay is calculated based on either base pay or commission, whichever is higher.
  • Comprehensive training: Our training program ensures reps are prepared for success before they start, with ongoing support and additional training provided as they progress.
  • Product offerings: We sell Cutco kitchen products and some gardening tools. No prior knowledge of our products or experience in sales is required.
  • Flexible scheduling: Reps can create their own schedules, allowing them to work around personal commitments, including holidays, internships, classes, finals, full-time jobs, or family responsibilities.
  • Local work opportunities: After completing training, reps work within their local area. Training and meetings are conducted at our office.
  • Growth potential: Reps have the chance to transition into long-term sales roles or take on management positions, even if they start part-time.

What We Require:

  • Enjoy interacting with people
  • Must be at least 17 or 18 years old and have a high school diploma
  • Willingness to learn new skills and apply them
  • Able to participate in an interview within 5 to 7 days
  • Certain conditions apply

Ideal Candidate:

This role is perfect for individuals seeking to supplement their current work schedule. Whether you're working as a receptionist, cashier, in food service, or in retail, our flexible scheduling can work around your other commitments. Students looking for winter break work or anyone needing a flexible schedule can find opportunities with us. Whether you hold a Bachelor's degree, an Associate’s degree, or no degree at all, we provide the necessary training to succeed. We welcome applicants of all ages and backgrounds, as we do not discriminate based on age.

Successful candidates come from diverse fields, including customer service, warehouse stocking, food service, administration, and retail. Our training is designed to help you excel, regardless of your prior experience, meaning even those who have worked as baristas, line cooks, cashiers, or in stocking can perform well.

Being a part of the Vector team is fun.

We're professionals, but we try not to take ourselves too seriously.

Whether you're on a demo with a new CUTCO customer or meeting other reps at a Vector conference, our reps and managers work hard and play hard.

Since each office is independently run by a District or Branch Manager, no office is exactly the same.

But no matter who you are or what you enjoy doing, we want you to be yourself and have fun while you're working with us.

THE VIBE

Positive. Energetic. Generous. Real.

THE PAY

Fair. Exciting. Motivating. Competitive.

Security with a base; opportunity through incentives.

Our reps receive a guaranteed base pay when they show Cutco to a qualified potential customer. So they get paid whether or not the customer purchases.

Our reps are not pushy, and we don't want them to be. The guaranteed base pay takes the pressure off our reps so they never have to be rude or forceful with potential customers.

But, you ask, How can they pay reps when a sale is not made? Great question. Since most people who see Cutco choose to purchase at least one knife, we can create a safety net for all of our reps. We want to encourage and provide incentives to our reps to put themselves out there and try to make a sale. You're not always going to make a sale with a potential customer, and that's ok.

While our reps are guaranteed to make a base pay each time they show Cutco, they can earn more than what's guaranteed through incentives from completing a sale. Additionally, we pay on a weekly basis, so you'll receive earnings for your hard work at the end of each work week.

What to expect.

It is very possible for reps to do well right out of the gate, but success is not guaranteed. We are definitely not a get-rich-quick company and we take pride in our reps for being the hard-working and motivated individuals that they are.

Successful reps tend to share a few common traits: persistence, diligence, and commitment.

There is opportunity for reps to develop professional skills while also earning income.
