[Remote] Sr. Software Engineer, App (Mobile)

As a Sr. Software Engineer on the App Squad, you will design and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions for mobile applications, influencing architecture and driving best practices while mentoring teammates.


Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, maintainable mobile and frontend solutions with minimal rework and clear documentation.
  • Break down complex problems into actionable implementation plans and guide architectural decisions aligned with long-term strategy.
  • Define and implement robust observability (e.g., monitoring, logging, alerting) alongside key KPIs and SLOs to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Act as a technical owner for key systems, driving execution, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring long-term reliability and impact.
  • Own code quality through thoughtful reviews, maintainable architecture, and proactive technical debt reduction.
  • Ensure robust test coverage and implement testing strategies across critical user flows.
  • Balance feature delivery with ongoing system maintenance, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design during discovery to define MVPs, validate feasibility, and drive customer-centric solutions.
  • Coordinate with backend, data, and platform teams for seamless integrations and aligned execution.
  • Mentor engineers and promote best practices in design, testing, CI/CD, and team rituals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in squad workflows, tooling, and development practices.

Skills

  • 5–8+ years of experience delivering production-grade software solutions in Mobile or Frontend roles.
  • Deep experience with modern frontend frameworks and libraries, including React, React Native, Next.js, and GraphQL.
  • Solid understanding of cross-platform mobile technologies and web performance optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity through iterative experimentation.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment and driving high-impact solutions from concept through execution.
