OVERVIEW

Customer Marketing (CM) is a function within Brand Experience (BX), where team members play a direct role in driving incremental volume at our Priority Retailers through design and execution of customer-centric, local-level marketing and event programs in partnership with our Brands, Sales Teams, and Retailers.

We are seeking a Customer Marketing Planner to lead account-specific customer marketing strategy at our Kroger business. This customer is on the leading edge of innovation and ecommerce when it comes to marketing. Key responsibilities for this role include supporting the development of annual strategy for priority brands across key OUs, development of campaign/creative briefs, management of budgets, and execution of projects. It requires interaction with customers, as well as internal Sales and OU teams, and agencies. The role provides exposure and learning in the areas of Retail Media, Connected Commerce, Strategy, Planning, External Partner Management, and Relationship Management.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead execution of General Mills retailer customer marketing and ecommerce programs and tactics with internal and external groups
  • Develop customer marketing and ecommerce plans and presentations
  • Oversee creative briefs, timelines, budgets, etc. in support of customer marketing campaigns
  • Attend customer meetings and foster strong working relationships with sales and marketing team members both at GMI and at retailers
  • Maintain account level customer marketing budget
  • Additional duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years of previous marketing/promotions experience
  • Demonstrated ability to translate insights into powerful marketing programs/platforms
  • Proactive leadership in identifying new opportunities and in managing day to day operations
  • Exceptional team and communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or Business
  • Experience in the customer/ shopper marketing space & developing account specific marketing plans
  • Experience selling to retail customers
  • Understanding of marketing measurement levers and approaches
  • Understanding of ecommerce and how brands win in that space
  • Located or willing to relocate yourself to Cincinnati, OH
  • Travel more than 10% if not located in the Cincinnati area

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $62300.00 - $93600.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifictions, etc. As such, pay for the succesful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
