We're happy to talk it through.As a PIP Adjuster, you'll play a critical role in enforcing the fundamental fairness on which our company was founded. You'll be asked to push the boundaries of what's required and to think critically as to what our customers want and how that best aligns with our product. Our goal is to leverage technology, data, and a team of highly talented people to build a claims experience that is recognized as number 1 in the industry. Salary Range: $60,900 - $70,000What we're looking for:Florida PIP demand and/or litigation experience strongly preferredBachelor's degree preferredSuccessful experience handling personal injury auto insurance claims across multiple states where the applicant was directly responsible for coverage decisions, injury analysis, issuing payments, taking recorded statements, responding to correspondence, requesting authority from supervisor(s), and medically managing injury claims across multiple statesAbility to obtain additional insurance adjuster licenses within 3 monthsPIP demand and/or litigation experience preferredDemonstrated high quality claim handling balanced with strong productivityStrong technical understanding of liability and casualty principlesAptitude to quickly learn and apply new conceptsCoachable and committed to professional growthExperience managing first party auto claims through closureViewed as a resource within team and functional areaHigh sense of professionalism while remaining empatheticFamiliarity with claims best practices requiredCurious in natureGreat attention to detailAbility to approach problems with an open mindWhat you'll be doing:Delivers an industry-leading claim experience for all policyholdersConsistently makes prompt and courteous contact with every claim customerObtains detailed accident descriptions from drivers, passengers and witnesses with questions around mechanism of injury and document all parties/exposuresUtilize third party vendor to evaluates claims/bills, if in line with claim/jurisdiction issue payment for PIP medical billsAnalysis of billing notes along with reported injuries and facts of loss to appropriately medically manage the file if applicableInterpret policy language and apply rules as required by jurisdiction, appropriately analyze what is owed for lost wages and household servicesMaintains and updates a diary/schedule for each claim in the adjuster's inventoryResponds to claim correspondence in a timely fashion with very high qualityProvides input for continuous development of claims guidelines and best practicesRecommends potential product developments and process improvementsInteracts and communicates effectively with customers, peers, vendors and managersEngages in learning opportunities to build knowledge of personal lines claims, court decisions impacting the claims function, current guidelines in claims function, and policy changes/modifications.Sets and maintains a loss reserve for every claim in the adjuster's pendingDon't meet every single requirement?Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification.
