Schedule: Full Time Shift : Days and Nig ht's 6:45am to 6:45 pm or 7:15 pm to 7:15 am 3 shifts per week with 6 weekend shifts per week schedule. Must be open. Location: 601 EAST ROLLINS STREET, Orlando, 32803 The role you'll contribute: The Virtual Patient Observer/Monitor Technician is responsible for monitoring patients who needs to be observed on a continual basis to quickly identify behavioral that could potentially impact their ongoing care and safety; and communicating the safety status to the nurses or care team. Observation could be virtual or physically present. Maintains effective and timely communication with the nursing staff. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. When functioning in EKG Monitor Technician role, the employee works under the direction of the professional nurse providing close surveillance of EKG monitors and communicating the rhythm status to the nurses. Adheres to AdventHealth's Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Performs properly and legibly documents in accordance with department policy. Documents in telemetry logbook. Continuously observes monitors. Recognizes and documents normal EKG patterns. Recognizes abnormal patterns and notifies nursing staff promptly. Maintains telemetry printout during cardiac arrest and as indicated. Qualifications he expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
