Mid-Level C-17 Remote Sites Systems Administrator<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Company:</b></p>The Boeing Company<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>The Boeing Company’s Specialized United States (U.S.) Infrastructure Operations organization is currently seeking a <b>Mid-Level </b><b>C-17 Remote Sites Systems Administrator</b> to join the team in <b>Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA</b>. </p><p></p><p>This position will require the individual to support users at remote U.S. Air Force locations and work with virtual teammates across multiple time zones. The selected candidate will perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities. This position requires the candidate to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components while evaluating complex system's production readiness and supportability. The candidate will be expected to perform the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations. Lastly, the selected candidate will gather computing requirements and confer on system needs.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Works directly with programs to ensure Information Technology (IT) infrastructure solutions meet the program requirements and schedules</p></li><li><p>Provides comprehensive end-to-end computing support from desktops to servers</p></li><li><p>Provides network (internal and external), telecommunications (cell, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Skype) and printing support</p></li><li><p>Provides a broad range of systems and application support to include Active Directory (AD), Citrix, and Virtual Machine Ware (VMWare)</p></li><li><p>Prepares release planning for software and hardware across the system, including patch management</p></li><li><p>Monitors, evaluates, and optimizes system performance</p></li><li><p>Evaluates complex system's production readiness and supportability</p></li><li><p>Performs the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations</p></li><li><p>Performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities</p></li><li><p>Maintains documentation</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Basic Qualifications</span> (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>3+ years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2016 - 2019 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 10</p></li><li><p>3 + years of experience with hardware installation and troubleshooting</p></li><li><p>Experience with <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">maintaining/configuring</span> AD to include applying domain group policies</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree or higher</p></li><li><p>Experience in Agile Methodologies</p></li><li><p>Experience with system backup and network switch configuration</p></li><li><p>Experience with PowerShell and scripts to automate deployment and integration of hardware and operating systems</p></li><li><p>Experience with VMware virtual network environment</p></li><li><p>Experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Drug Free Workplace:</b></p><p>Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.</p><p></p><p><b>Pay & Benefits:</b></p><p>At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
