Job description
We are seeking a Microsoft Intune Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a 6-month contract engagement to help stand up a new Intune environment, migrate custom applications, and enable internal IT staff to take over long-term administration.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience deploying and configuring Microsoft Intune in enterprise environments, with a strong focus on mobility management, app packaging, and effective knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end setup and configuration of a new Microsoft Intune environment
  • Migrate existing custom applications into Intune with attention to security and compatibility
  • Advise on and assist with conditional access, compliance policies, and device configuration (as needed)
  • Assess the current environment and recommend best practices for deployment and scalability
  • Provide structured knowledge transfer and hands-on mentoring for two internal team members
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and training materials to support long-term management
  • Ensure smooth handoff and continuity planning before the end of the contract
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience implementing Microsoft Intune in greenfield or complex enterprise environments
  • Strong knowledge of Windows endpoint management, mobile device management (MDM), and app deployment via Intune
  • Experience migrating and packaging custom applications for Intune deployment
  • Solid understanding of security and compliance within endpoint management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effective knowledge transfer
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate remotely with technical teams
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with conditional access and compliance policies
  • Previous experience training small teams or delivering technical documentation
  • Microsoft certifications related to Modern Desktop Administration or Endpoint Manager
