OVERVIEW

At Orion Groups, we are looking for a Clinical Systems Architect with extensive experience in Cerner EHR Healthcare Systems.

The Lead Architect will help drive enterprise-wide patient portal initiatives while advising on the most effective ways to align Clinical EHR Data from multiple clinical systems including but not limited to Cerner, Athena, Epic and Meditech.

The Lead Architect will also help design the development path for clinical data integrating to the new consolidated patient portal, address project challenges, and work with various APIs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in a cross-functional agile environment.
  • Design and implement data exchange solutions with Cerner, Athena and other Clinical Applications.
  • Drive collaboration with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff and key vendor partnerships.
  • Lead clinical system integration scope and requirements documentation.
  • Ability to solve complex business problems while understanding system limitations and capacity.
  • Design architecture to include software workflow, data integration workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure data elements are compatible with IT Integration requirements. 
  • Ability to provide detailed specifications to developers.
  • Provide technical expertise in evaluating software/system modifications.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of Cerner, Athena or other EHR experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and across cross functional organizations.
  • Strong understanding of FHIR integration technology.
  • Strong functional knowledge of clinical applications and understand data integration processes.
  • Experience with enterprise technology delivery, including implementation, custom development and ongoing support.
  • Experience leading technical planning across application portfolios and integrated technologies.
  • Advanced communication and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as clinical nursing, computer science or computer engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
